"Many Faces, One Song!"

Mankato Children's Chorus singers
will present a spring concert

Sunday, April 17   3:00pm
Christ Chapel; Gustavus Adolphus College St. Peter, MN

The five choirs of MCC will present music representing the community of singers that compose MCC.  The choirs will combine in a variety of different groups for this concert to show how our choir community is intertwined.  We are excited to present a piece for all MCC boys and another piece for all MCC girls combining our singers from first grade through high school.
We are MCC.  We are a musical community.
We are the many faces of children singing with one voice to present our song.

The MCC Winter Concert was a beautiful presentation of seasonal, traditional, folk and classic choral pieces.  Choirs sang traditional carols during transitions in the concert.  The audience joined the choirs singing "O Come All Ye Faithful" and the choirs concluded the concert with John Rutter's Angel's Carol.

MCC Registers new singers from May to September and again during the month of January.
If you know a child that likes to sing, contact us for more information to
register for our current season.

For 22 years the Mankato Children's Chorus has been building a community of more than one thousand young singers who receive the finest choral education possible in an environment that provides challenging and rewarding opportunities for children in grades one through twelve.
The Mankato Children’s Chorus is a non-profit, non-auditioned choral program dedicated to providing an opportunity for youth to experience the joy of singing while developing healthy vocal techniques. Through the rehearsal and performance of quality choral music, youth develop artistic expressiveness, self-confidence, a cooperative spirit, and the joy of working toward and achieving goals. Founded in January 1994 with one choir of 30, MCC has grown to the current number of more than 150 youth and five choirs serving grades 1-12. MCC is open to all young people who enjoy singing, and includes students from the greater Mankato region. Scholarships are available to all applicants.

The chorus was selected to perform at the Nobel Conferences at Gustavus Adolphus College in 2001 and 2004, Festival of the States in Washington D.C. in 2000 and 2008, and Minnesota Music Educators Conference in 1998 and 2007.
